Il romanzo fu pubblicato dapprima a puntate sulla rivista letteraria francese “Magasin d’\u00c9ducation et de R\u00e9cr\u00e9ation” dal 20 dicembre 1865 al 5 dicembre 1867.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Sons of Captain Grant” (in French “Les Enfants du Capitaine Grant”) is an adventure novel published in 1867 by the French writer Jules Verne and constitutes the first chapter of a trilogy that continues with “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea” and ends with “The Mysterious Island”. It is divided into three parts: the first set in Patagonia, the second and third in Australia and the Pacific Ocean. The novel was first published in installments in the French literary magazine “Magasin d’\u00c9ducation et de R\u00e9cr\u00e9ation from December 20, 1865 to December 5, 1867.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jules Gabriel Verne (1828-1905), \u00e8 stato uno scrittore, drammaturgo e poeta francese famoso per i suoi romanzi d’avventura e per la sua profonda influenza sul genere letterario della fantascienza. In giovane et\u00e0 decise di dedicarsi alla letteratura. La sua collaborazione con l’editore Pierre-Jules Hetzel ha portato alla creazione di “Viaggi straordinari”, una popolare serie di romanzi d’avventura, tra cui il famoso “Cinque settimane in mongolfiera” (1863), “Viaggio al centro della terra” (1864), \u201cDalla Terra alla Luna\u201d (1865), \u201cVentimila leghe sotto i mari\u201d (1870), \u201cIl giro del mondo in ottanta giorni\u201d (1872), \u201cL’isola misteriosa\u201d (1874). \u00c8 uno degli scrittori pi\u00f9 importanti in Francia e in tutta Europa grazie all’evidente influenza dei suoi libri sulla letteratura d’avanguardia e sul surrealismo. \u00c8 considerato uno dei \u201cpadri della fantascienza\u201d. Fu insignito della Legion d’Onore nel 1892 per i suoi contributi all’istruzione e alla scienza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a very young age, he decided to devote himself to literature. His collaboration with the publisher Pierre-Jules Hetzel resulted in the creation of \u201cExtraordinary Voyages\u201d, a popular series of adventure novels, including the famous \u201cFive Weeks in a Balloon\u201d (1863), \u201cJourney to the Center of the Earth\u201d (1864), \u201cFrom the Earth to the Moon\u201d (1865), \u201cTwenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea\u201d (1870), \u201cAround the World in Eighty Days\u201d (1872), \u201cThe Mysterious Island\u201d (1874). He is one of the most important writers in France and in all of Europe thanks to the obvious influence of his books on avant-garde literature and surrealism. He is considered one of the \u201cfathers of science fiction\u201d. He was awarded with the Legion of Honor in 1892 for his contributions to education and science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
